Just read this quote, and I like it very much. (You can think about it or just look at it for a while.)
"Thinking is more interesting than knowing, but less interesting than looking." -- Goethe.
I am glad ol' Goethe is on my side here. I spend a lot of time feeling ashamed that my love of thinking doesn't overshadow my many other fascinations. Like looking, and listening, and tasting, and touching, and smelling. If I were smarter, more disciplined, and generally a BETTER PERSON, I wouldn't want to do all that stuff and could just focus on very important fascinating nuanced and highbrow theoretical questions. That's what grown-ups do, right?
That's an awesome quote. I wholeheartedly agree.
There's no good food and wine in the ivory tower...

If that's what grown-ups do, I want no part in it. I agree with BT. If there's no good food and wine in the ivory tower, I'll stick to the plebian pubs and common houses.
