We had a surprise meeting of Relationship Club last night. RC meets once a month, the night after Money Club if possible. Members of Relationship Club are me, Housemate, and our friend Manhole Charlie. (The Dog is an honorary member but she abstains from most votes.) It started off as an informal betting pool, where two of us would place bets on the duration of the other person's current relationship, but has turned into a monthly status report on the relationship front. All of us were in relationships when RC formally began, but now Housemate is single and Manhole Chas. and his 2+ year girlfriend are in a cooling off period, leading slowly to an inevitable breakup. They are "not not seeing other people" -- so Manhole has been dating up a storm, and Relationship Club usually begins with a rundown of all the girls he has in play at the moment. In any case, we all have plenty to talk about.
The rules of Relationship Club:
Relationship Club meets once a month.
We say it like it is: we tell each other the truth, and we don't let each other get away with avoiding things.
Members get as much time as they need. (This month, Housemate had a lot to discuss.)
We're all exceedingly loveable and attractive. This goes without saying. Still, it's a Rule.
