Okay, I'm the new owner of two pairs of Paradigm Titan speakers. They're connected to my Harman-Kardon receiver (circa 1990 -- an oldie but a goodie). They sound good, when I plug my computer in to my receiver and play music from my collection of digital music. I've even run some of the wires through the floor and into other rooms by way of the basement -- pretty advanced sound engineering for this chick.
I also am the new owner of the Creative Soundblaster Wireless Music Receiver. I have successfully navigated my music library to the new software. I have set up the wireless receiver and connected it to my stereo. The receiver has found the wireless network and in one test at least, is capable of communicating okay. I have been able to use the remote control to navigate through my music library, select an album, and tell it to play a song or an album. By using the remote control, I can see corresponding changes on my computer screen, as the pointer moves along to different songs.
Somehow, though, there's no SOUND coming out of my speakers. And although the remote control seems to be selecting the right album and song, it doesn't look like it's actually PLAYING it when I hit the play button. (e.g. there's a little counter that stays at 00:00 when you'd think it would start to tick away the seconds of the song).
I gave up last night and went to sleep (at about 8:30 PM); this morning, my remote can find the receiver but neither of them can find the server here on the computer....
Will keep you posted. I am not even sure what kind of expert help I need to find if this doesn't go well -- do I need a computer person? A sound person? Creative's tech support (rumored to be nonexistent)?
[UPDATE: For no apparent reason (apart from unplugging and then plugging back in the receiver), it is now working. And it's really cool! I can be on my laptop in one room, and someone in another room can use the remote control to pick out an album or a playlist from the music library and play it. Hooray!]
My professional techie brother-in-law always says to me "try unplugging it and then plugging it back in". Apparently, computer thingys are touchy...lol He installed a wireless network for us here at home and when it fails I call him in a panic in Toronto and his advice is always the same...do the unplug/plug thing.
Glad you got it working :-) It sounds fabulous!

Yup unplugging the machine is the electronic equivalent of the hammer. Ya gotta love the mystery of why it works.
Don't look a labtop in the port.
Enjoy!!!!

I have the same problem with the Creative Wireless Music System. There is no problem with the connectivity to my wireless LAN, nor is there any lack of music (80gb) or playlists (hundreds of them). But for no good reason, the Creative product will "freeze", and only a reset of the Music Server (on the PC) and the System (the wireless hardware) will get things moving again. Even upgrading to the latest Creative software/firmware combos do no good. This "sound blaster" sometimes performs like a "sound fizzler" ...
