Okay, I haven't done much Quicken work yet, but I HAVE filed both my state and Federal tax returns. I just love TurboTax for the Web. And somehow I'm still in major refund land -- must be the mortgage and the student loan payments -- so I get to watch my refund get bigger every time I enter something in the little box. A big direct deposit will be hitting the bank account in a couple of weeks -- sweet. Note to self: adjust withholdings for 2004.
Went to the puppet workshop. Turned out not to be a puppet show but rather a puppet making workshop. Mostly it was a couple of dozen of cool little kids and their parents. But my cousin and Housemate and I made some pretty nifty puppets. I made a felt guy that looked like a giant green brain in a red plush coat, and a lovely octopus shadow puppet. Cousin made a funky jellyfish-ish puppet with googly crustacean eyes.
NOW I am all settled in for a great day of managing my finances.
