Thx to all who played. The judge especially dug Slightly Frazzled's reflections on the "middle moments" and Richard Ames' admonishment to take unnecessary risks in order to find contentment. A nod also to Jim M, who tells me I'm chasing it too hard. Only on the blog and not so much here in the world of the flesh, I think, Jim, but you're right. I'll lay off for a while and let things percolate.
Slightly Frazzled has gotten the GMail invite. (Richard Ames made it easier by not giving me an email address to which to send the invite). It doesn't mean the invitation to reflect on my blind spots is gone, it just means I can no longer offer anyone an enticement to do so.
