1) I am low on washer fluid in my car. I finally bought some -- even an extra gallon, so responsible! -- and was chagrined to discover that I seem to be incapable of opening the hood of the car. I've done it before, so I know it's possible. There must be a lever or pull thingie; there always is. But I can't find it. So, no washer fluid for now.
2) When I first started blogging I tried to use Trackbacks and kept bungling it, producing only dead links instead of the desired link to a page I was commenting on. It is not self-evident to me how to leave a Trackback on a page. I have become embarrassed about my inability to do it, but not motivated enough to fumble on through yet again trying to learn how. So, no Trackbacks for now.
I don't know how to do trackbacks either! I'm going to try it right now. I'll let you know (or you let me know) if it works.

In the daylight, lower down so that your eyes are level w/ the crack in front of the hood, you should see the lever and thus be able to find it. Remember to pop the hood from the inside of the car first. I have to do this everytime I open the hood because I have spacial issues.

That's the problem -- I can't find the lever on the inside of the car that pops the hood. It's nowhere to be seen. Baffling.
I can find the latch on the hood itself.

Sounds like time to check the owner's manual.

I don't know a slick way to do trackbacks, but here's a way that works in TypePad: click on a post's "Trackbacks" link, if it's a TypePad or a Movable Type blog, and you'll see something like "TrackBack URL for this entry:" and a URL. Copy that URL into the Trackback box on your Typepad posting screen. When you publish your post, the trackback will be sent.
Movable Type does this automatically.
Usually I find this is more trouble than it's worth.

The lever is near your left ankle when sitting in the driver's seat. It is the same color as the interior plastic, and cleverly hidden. Easiest to find with the door open, kneeling outside.
Then there's a secondary release under the hood, offset to the left. Pull it straight out and lift the hood. It should stay up on its own.
I have THREE jugs of washer fluid in my backseat. I go through a jug a week in winter.

I confess to the same difficulty with TrackBacks, and I'm a supposed computer professional. I just gave up, and accepted that it would cost me traffic, a move heartily applauded by the web community at large, I'm sure ... ;-)
