I guess it's been a while since my last All-Request Day. More than a month, yikes. I've had some folks impatient for the next one email me their questions, wondering when it's coming around again, wanting to get them in the queue. I can't do it yet. I've got too much on, am running around like a crazy person, not sure I'll be reliably in front of the computer. Just like the big company assures you by recorded voice when it's got you on hold, your questions are important to me. All of our Stay of Execution representatives are currently assisting other customers.
I'm thinking that my next opportunity to tackle a bunch of requests will be Thursday. Please mark your calendars. 3/31/05 -- All Request Day. What would you like me to post about? Let me know in a comment or by email and I'll respond on Thursday. As usual, I reserve the right to be useless, verbose, and tangential, but I'll try to be candid.
what are the aspects of bankruptcy law that interest you most? what (if any) downsides do you experience with it? and how much math is really involved?

Once again, it's that wonderful time of year when law students start thinking about exams and wondering why they didn't pay more attention in science class. This is admittedly an entirely self-serving request, but could you offer any advice on preparing for take-home exams? I have never taken one of them but face two take-homes in about a month. Thank you!

How does a busy lawyer with a limited amount of free time go about choosing a charitable activity for volunteer work? How would such a lawyer go about figuring out where she can be of most use and what is most important to her?
Also, would you agree that it is better to start from the ground up in a charitable organization rather than making a commitment to serve on a board right off the bat? If one were to consider serving on a board of a charitable organization without having prior experience of that organization, how would one assess the organization and determine whether to serve?
