I'm being interviewed about blogs by a reporter who found me on the internet. The article is for people who don't really know about blogs. Are there still such people?
I'm thinking about which blogs I'll mention. I think I'll mention these ones:
* The Blue Sloth -- a blog by a stay-at-home dad who writes about writing, who writes about loving his children so fiercely but also feeling lonely and exhausted and overwhelmed, who writes about his soccer teams and his children's soccer teams, who writes about gambling and how it makes him feel capable and grown-up and like a participator in the adult world, who writes about a mysterious stomach ailment that feels like it is eating him alive. He writes well and has a great authentic voice and posts pictures and seems like a guy I'd love to know in person.
* Outer Life -- a blog that is as consistent as clockwork: a high quality post, usually a well-crafted personal essay, every weekday.
* Unfogged -- an eclectic group-blog, written and read by some very smart people, about the personal and the political.
* Notes from the (Legal) Underground -- a topical but lighthearted blog about lawyers and the law, with an intro to podcasting, and a pleasant, self-conscious exploration of the legal and literary blogospheres and the people who occupy them.
* The Inner Net: Nipun and Guri are travelling around India on a spiritual pilgrimage, writing about it.
