I'm a little down today. The fog hasn't lifted, and I miss the sun. I'm tired of walking through wet grass. Last night I made a fire and cooked myself dinner with a glass of shiraz in my hand, listening to music, which was nice. But I couldn't help thinking how much nicer it would be I could have brought a glass of wine to a sweetie, kissed the top of his head while he read a book, and gone back to the kitchen to finish making dinner. The prospect of dating makes me weary. I want him to be there on the couch already, rubbing the dog's belly with his foot.
So maybe I can answer a question for you, or write a post on a topic of your choice. Send me an email, or leave me a comment, and I will do what I can to comply with your request. Just about anything goes.
So, how is the doggie enjoying his new home? Do you take him sailing with you and your kiddies?

Could you share one of your favorite recipes with us, and let us know a story behind it (or your use of it)?

I'm pleased to see that you did find you could write about coaching at Bowdoin without getting too personal about your students. Please tell us more about your approach to coaching, objectives for the season, initiatives you have taken, how you see the sailing program developing, what you like about coaching, what you find difficult.....

C'mon -- the naked-on-the-Jersey turnpike story is just begging to be told!

Do you consider yourself a fortunate person? You have a great job at an elite college doing something you love, you soon will be published in a magazine, you own a house, a share in a boat, and a beloved pet, you have more education than 99.9% of the U.S. population, you have some close friends, male and female, and you have a devoted set of blog readers. What could be bad? The answer is obvious from your post, but c'mon...Let's see a smile...

If it's not too personal, what ultimately caused you and your last boyfriend to break up?

Could you tell us how someone without a lot of financial resources could learn to sail?

You've done a lot of relationship posts. How can you tell the difference between a close friendship with a member of the opposite sex and a crush?

Do you have any siblings? I don't remember you referring to any. If you are an only child, how do you feel that has affected your growing up and also your relationship with your parents (it seems very happy).

I'd love to hear recommendations for first-time visitors to Maine of places to visit & things to see and do that aren't touristy.

I second the suggestion about the recipes!

Ignore the other comments and any e-mails you’ve received. Focus on that image you described. Especially that glass of wine, but instead of you bring it to him, you are the one sitting on the sofa, in comfortable sweats or wrapped up in your favorite crocheted blanket. Your book is not a new one, but one you love and have read several times before. HE brings you the glass and promises that the dish he is making nearly cooks itself and to give him just 10, no make that 8 more minutes. And, no, don’t set the table, he has nice wicker trays and want for you both to sit on the floor. Is there a fireplace? A picture window? (I'm still new to the site. Is there a sliding door or large window open to provide just a little fresh air, even if it brings a slight chill?
Know that you’re not alone and that there is your opposite number sitting in his apartment wishing he was cooking for his love.
To be continued? You've got the address.
