This Is What Maine Means To Me

My parents are just back from cruising on their new boat, and my mom has posted some pictures.  It is this glimpse of Maine -- the islands of Penobscot Bay, the seals on the rocks and the piney shores and the shaded ferns waving from the wooded paths, the different blue-pinks of water and sky and a boat to row back to when you're done exploring.  This is why I love this place so much.

Much to my disappointment, during my recent trip in Maine I did not get to see any harbor seals. Found parts of the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge though. Saw some beautiful birds there.

those are gorgeous photos. i especially love the one with the buoys hanging from the tree, and the photo directly below that one. :)

Very Old, but newly Restored Maritime Sailboat...Isuzu Motor. "Secondwind" OK, I get seasick but I am making the best of it and it needed lots of work. Whatever ??? anything just keep my husband busy!

We have Sacrificed a LOT to have the boat! We will sail every day very soon when my husband retires. Then, maybe, then we can buy a new Sailboat, but I say we all prefer a MUCH nicer house! Old too!

HAPPY SAILING - KEEP IT SAFE!
