Like TPB, Esq., I've signed up to go to BloggerCon at Harvard on April 17th. My reasoning was, hmmm, well, it would be fun to go down to Boston in springtime, it's free, and maybe I'll meet some bloggers and learn something, and if not, I'll just skip out and go to the art museum or shopping or scout out a regatta that the Yale college sailing team is in and go bring them cookies and beer.
Meanwhile TPB has been following some kind of discussion and has posted a big old essay on what blogging is and isn't and how we think about it. All very interesting. But it makes me feel a bit, uh, unprepared for this big fancy conference. If you're going, and are planning to just show up and not defend your manifesto on the nature of blogging, let me know and we can sit in the back together.
I'm going to be in the back, manifesto or no. I'm not going to break my rule about law school classrooms. In fact, in line with my law school experience, I might bring a blankie.
