Earlier this week I wrote a really long post trying to paint some pictures of the sailboats and the rocks and the seals and cormorants and islands and water and trying to show you just how and why I love Penobscot Bay so much. My dad, ever pragmatic, actually took pictures, and just sent me a CD with about 200 pics. Here are a few, that include not just boats but also the shoreline and the sky and the color of the water and the pinky-yellow granite and the bristling pines everywhere. [Holy thumbnails, batman. These images are too big to post so you can really see them. I'm completely ignorant in this arena, so send tips for making them viewable and I will -- there are lots more....]
Scheherazade, your words paint better pictures than your photos. (and that's a compliment)

try downloading picasa (free) form http://www.picasa.com/picasa/ The company has been bought by gooogle, must be good! you can make thumbnail pages that link to larger pictures. Automated.
You have nice pictures, but minus a 30" monitor, they're hard to see.
