There's another Scheherazade around Maine, and she's a yacht. Launched last year, she's one of the biggest and most lovely boats built in the Northern Hemisphere in the recent past. I still haven't seen her in person, nor been on her, nor had a chance to meet her owner, fall to my knees and wrap my arms around his legs begging/cajoling/explaining why a boat like that needs me on board. This picture was sent to me by a friend who just spied Scheherazade up in Northeast Harbor. Lovely, isn't she?
except for the two roller furling mains. blech. of course, when you become owner, you can replace those, and your hired crew can deal with the hassles of hoisting and lowering. beautiful lines though, and I've always thought a ketch would be fun.

The ship you speak of has only one thing in common with you and that is a good thing.
You are also worth much more than the mere 40 million that she cost.
The owners do happen to be very nice.

That was the name I had picked out for my first boat. Then my wife got pregnant.
