I bought myself a cup of coffee this morning. Medium, Dunkin Donuts, with cream. I spent about 10 minutes smelling it, before I took a sip. And then another sip. At first it wasn't good, but I kept drinking it. And then it was.
I don't know if I noticed a difference in my mood. If I did, it was a good one -- a sort of vigor and a heightened sense of well-being. I was laughing to myself and singing along as I drove along Route 3.
Is this an April Fool's joke?

excellent coffee makes you feel even better from the first sip. bad coffee just seems to leave a bad taste in one's mouth.
does anyone have suggestions for the best coffee in boston?

I've just found a great chain that sells coffee that doesn't make me sick: Segafredo Zanetti. But I think their only US store is in Miami.

Al,
Having grown up in Miami, I've sipped coffee many a time at the SegaFredo on Lincoln Road (but even Sega's coffee is pathetic compared to the cortodito, a Cuban coffee drink, served right down the street at David's0.
Fortunately, you can by Sega coffee at most gourmet food stores.
